Mission

The mission of the Dallas/Fort Worth State Tax Association (the "Association") is to expand each member's knowledge of state and local tax issues.

The Association was formed in the fall of 1978 as a not-for-profit organization in order to provide a forum for sharing state tax information among tax professionals. As such, it is one of the oldest organizations of its type in the Dallas and Fort Worth area. Over the years, the members of the Association have included representatives from both industry and public practice in the Dallas and Fort Worth area. Many of the largest and most prestigious businesses in Dallas and Fort Worth are represented in the Association.

The Association sponsors presentations on a wide range of state and local tax issues while offering continuing education for CPAs. Past presentations sponsored by the Association include well-known guest speakers from industry, legal practice, public accounting practice, and various state Departments of Revenue across the United States.
